Jennifer Chambers, MD, MBA, FACP is Founder and Chief Medical Officer at JA Chambers Healthcare Consulting, established March 2023, and serves as Chief Medical Officer for two organizations, Good Measures, LLC and Health Care Originals, LLC. She provides clinical oversight of programming, supports development of new clinical programming and associated outcomes evaluations.
Prior to establishing her consulting organization, Dr. Chambers was Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Capital Blue Cross, where she led clinical programming and innovation, quality initiatives, and medical policy, as well as clinical strategy development. She previously served as Director of Palliative Medicine Program at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. In this academic role, she formally established the Palliative Medicine Consult Service and multidisciplinary team and served on the Internal Medicine inpatient service as attending physician. Dr. Chambers is board certified in internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. She is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Dr. Chambers serves on the boards for Keystone Human Services and Keystone Autism Services and is a passionate advocate for those with intellectual disabilities and autism. She has served as chair and vice chair for the KHS Board and currently serves on the Governance and Nominating Committee and is chair of the Quality Committee. She is the current chairperson for the Penn State Harrisburg Board of Advisors and also serves as a member of the Board and Audit Committee for the Millersville University Foundation Board.
Dr. Chambers is an Alumni Fellow of the Pennsylvania State University and has been the recipient of the Edna Silberman Humanitarian Service Award from Keystone Human Services, the YWCA Women of Excellence Award, and the Central Penn Business Journal Woman of Influence Award, amongst others.
She resides with her husband Michael near Hershey, Pennsylvania.
