DESCRIPTION:We often pronounce service practices overwhelmingly “good” or “bad\,” yet the reality is more complex as any practice may offer both advantages and pitfalls for vulnerable people. SRV gives us a unique way to assess impact: spotting what helps people access the good things of life\, while revealing risks and shortcomings that could cause harm. \nThis study group series invites SRV-savvy folks to examine practices and discuss hopeful possibilities and worries together. \nThis six-session study group series is designed to explore common human service practices through the lens of Social Role Valorization (SRV). Throughout the series\, we’ll take a closer look at practices often labeled as “good” or “bad” and uncover the nuances – what truly helps people access the good things of life\, and what might unintentionally cause harm. Each session will provide context\, real-world examples\, and collaborative analysis\, giving us the chance to identify hopeful possibilities and safeguard against potential pitfalls. \nRegister
